Genetic Diversity →
Genetic diversity is genetic variation between distinct populations of the same species and variation within a population.
The greater the genetic diversity the greater the resilience.
Utility Value →
Utility value refers to the worth of the ecosystem for humans. It is its economic value.
Utility Value (example) →
wetlands purify water and act as a sink to take out pollutants and trap silt
(extra info) they hold value as they are a source of food, medicine, fuel, timber, chemicals, fibres, metals and land
Intrinsic Value →
Refers to having value in existing alone as a natural phenomenon.
Intrinsic Value (example) →
the Daintree Rainforest is being protected for its intrinsic value against the destruction of forests and therefore loss of species diversity; it is on the World Heritage List
Heritage Value →
Natural features consisting of physical and biological formations which have outstanding universal value.
Heritage Value (example) →
