Sound is a longitudinal wave that is made up of a series of alternating compression and suppression
Soundwave requires a medium to transfer its energy and transmit across space

Human audible frequency
A
Human ears are only capable to detect sound wave with frequency between 20 hertz to 20 000Hz
In other words, humans cannot detect sound with a frequency less than 20Hz and greater than 20 000Hz.
