Q

just as Aristotle says …

A
  • my life needs the body to be animated
  • the soul is not material and should be understood as the mind
  • it is not something separate from it
  • the body is necessary for me to be

Q

our actions do not explain actually what we are doing

A

So if we use the idea of pointing

Imagine if I point at the king on a chess board, my bodily action is simply a gesture

I may say I am pointing at the King but this only describes how it is working but not why we are pointing .

To get the full picture, we need to know why we are pointing

Q

the act of “man qua spirit”

A

the act of human as a whole

the action is not possible without a body

a disembodied soul could not point

it is my body that points, i need both and this bodily act, she calls
and act of “man qua spirit”: the act of humans as a whole
