Q

What do we believe? Election or Selection and explain

A

Election is that sovereign act of God in grace whereby He chose in Christ Jesus for salvation all those whom He foreknew would accept Him. However, we need to take note that God foreknew all things because He arbitrarily determined to bring them to pass.
Foreknowledge is not foreordaining. There is a difference between what God determines to pass and what He merely permits to happen. He did not determine who would be there; He simply saw them in Christ when He chose them.

Q

Define: Justification

A

Concerns a person’s standing before God. It is being declared righteous in the eyes of God, as if he had never sinned. It is more than forgiveness and the removal of guilt and condemnation; it is putting to one’s account the righteousness of Christ. Thus, when God sees believers, He does not see them as forgiven sinners but rather, as those who have never sinned.
