Crew Requirements
Wing:

Requirements of CNAF and NATOPS and:
1.COs may elect to recognize the qualifications of specific H-60 series qualified crew from outside their command. Documentation shall be provieded on request. All visiting aircrew shall comply with reporting custodian’s SOP.
2. Enlisted aircrew should be utilized to the MEP on all flights.
3. FCF checklist items shall only be conducted when crew includes an FCP. COs designate ground turn crew. TFO shall not be carried on FCFs for sole purpose of accumulating flight time.
4. Tactical training events — HAC/L3, PQM, AW
5. MSG-3 aviators, to include pregnant instructors up to 30 weeks, are authorized to fly with FRPs who have successfully completed FAM-6N. MSG-3 instructors are not authorized to fly DLQ-phase flight events.

6. To assist in aircraft firefighting, troubleshooting, and lookout, an AW shall be required on all flights except day VMC within 50 NM of KNIP. Or any 2P-2P flights.
- Flights with 2x AW should carry equipment to be SAR capable.

HSM-74:

1. For planning purposes only, aircrew shall not report earlier than 12 hours prior to the scheduled completion of all flight and post-flight duties.
2. Post flight duties are assumed to require 1 hour to complete.
3. Aircrew shall not be scheduled to brief a flight event until 10 hours after completion of post-flight duties.
4. Crew day begins at the commencement of official dutues (Command PT, reporting to the squadron, etc.) and concludes at the completion of official dutes, including post-flight duties. An individual’s crew day Shall not exceed 12 hours.
5. For events with a land time after 2400, Aircrew shall not report to the squadron earlier than 10 hours prior to the scheduled completion of post-flight duties, and shall not be scheduled for a flight or simulator for 12 hours following the completion of post-flight duties.
6. A SDO on watch for a full 24-hour period or more shall not be scheduled for flights in aircraft for the following day. SDOs on watch for 12 hours or less are exempt from this restriction; normal crew rest requirements apply per CNAF.
7. Enlisted aircrew shall not be scheduled to brief an event within 12 hours after standing a watch.
b. At sea CEL OIC Shall comply with and ensure shop CO are briefed on paragraph 8.3.2.1 and 8.3.2.2 of CNAF.
CNAF:
8.3.2.1.1
Crew rest is the non-duty time before a duty day, watch, or flight period begins and includes free time for meals transportation and rest and Shall include the opportunity for 8 hrs uninterrupted sleep every 24 hours.
It begins after termination of official duties and is required prior to reporting for duty to assume watch and preflight preperations.
Flight personnel shall not be scheduled for continuous watch, duty, alert, and/or flight duty in excess of 18 hours. If it becomes operationally necessary to exceed the 18hr rule, 15hrs continuous off-duty time shall be scheduled.
Crew rest can be reduced less than 12 hours in order to maintain a 24 hour work/rest schedule but shortened crew rest Shall always include the opportunity for 8 hours uninterrupted sleep.
8.2.2 FLIGHT TIME
Guidelines for COs:
1. Daily flight time should not normally exceed 12 hours (For helicopters)
2. Weekly time should not exceed 50 hours
3. Should not exceed 100 hrs/month 265/3months
4. If exceeding guidelines shall have CO waiver and FS recommendation.

- Ship-to-shore 200 NM (+50 with aux)

Over water:
- Day - 50’ AGL (intended to support auth. mission or training)
- Unaided night - 150’ AGL
- NVD - 100’ AGL
Coupled Hover:
- 70’ AGL
- Following the establishment of a steady coupled hover at 70’, aircraft altitude may be reduced to no lower than 40’ to conduct live hoisting operations at the PIC’s discretion.

Checklist Requirements
WING:

- Shall be verbally completed in CHALLENGE-REPLY-REPLY format up to rotor engagement.
- Shall be CHALLENGE-REPLY after rotor engagement
- Checklists may be performed silently by PNAC when safety of flight is concerned except for items that require a response by another crew member.
a. If the STABILATOR AUTO MODE PBS is not illuminated when AC power is applied, stab lock pins shall be visually checked prior to flight.
b. Rescue Hoist Op check should be completed on first flight of the day to ensure SAR capability.
c. Single-engine airspeed and STAB programming shall be called on the first takeoff
- STAB programming shall be called after reengaging AUTO mode subsequent to a sim or actual failure
d. Landing checklist shall be accomplished when transitioning between pad and runway.
e. Shall utilize In-Flight Mission Change checklist anytime mission is altered from what was briefed.

Hot Refueling Restrictions

- Passengers shall not occupy the aircraft during hot refueling.

a. Per 80T-103: Hot refueling with live ordnance loaded (Hellfire, loaded DRL, flares, and warshot Torps) is prohibited ashore. Chaff or decoy flares may be subject to local directives.
- Hot and cold refueling with ordnance loaded is permitted at sea with ship CO approval.

- During hot seats, HAC shall review IMDS exceedance page on all flights regardless mission.
