What are the 2 command options?
1-Provide size up and direction to incoming units. (canceling units, investigate fire alarm, use resources for specific needs.)
2- Implement the high-rise pre-designated assignments (PDA’s)
1st Arriving Engine Company PDA?
Captain - FIRE FLOOR/ ATTACK/DIVISION CONTROL
1- Size up, 2- Opens Fire Control Center, 3- Obtains information from alarm panels occupants amor tenants, 4- determines fire floor location & selects and broadcasts access route, 5- Obtains sound power phone and building keys, 6- Obtains elevator keys and recalls elevators as necessary for primary access.
Engineer & Firefighters
1- Perform standard high-rise strip, 2- With equipment, locate fire and set-up for attack, 3- Establish Division Control, report conditions and resource needs. 4- Operate with 2nd Engine Company to get one hose line into operation and advancing.
1st Arriving Truck Company PDA?
Captain - FIRE FLOOR / SEARCH & RESCUE
1- Obtains building keys and sound power phone from FCC. 2-Obtains Building floor plan, pre-plan or building layout placard.
Engineer & Firefighters
1- Perform standard high-rise equipment strip. 2- Ascend building via designated route to fire floor. 3- Establishes Rescue Group. 4- Deploy team(s) as needed to conduct primary search and rescue operations on fire floor. 5- Reports fire location and conditions as pertinent. Reports life hazard condition and resource needs. 6- Limits spread of fire and smoke by closing doors as needed when possible.
2nd Arriving Engine Company PDA?
Captain and Firefighters -FIRE FLOOR / FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS
1-Perform Standard high-rise equipment strip. 2- Ascend building via designated access route. 3- Join 1st engine company to place one hose line into operation and attack fire.
Engineer
1-Delivers personnel and equipment to building. 2- Assists with standard high-rise equipment strip. 3- With Pumper, proceeds to FDC and connects to fire protection systems, first standpipe, then sprinklers is separate.
3rd Arriving Engine Company PDA?
Captain - BUILDING / LOBBY
1-Establishes lobby control in the FCC or lobby.
Engineer and Firefighters
1- recall and account for all elevators. 2- One firefighter detailed to operate elevators following OFD SOP and transports personnel and equipment. 3- Control and operate building public address system, broadcasting information as directed or found in OFD preplan packet. 4- Establish entry/exit control at all building access point. 5- Establish personnel accounting system. 6- Direct incoming personnel to appropriate stairways/elevators and directs evacuees and exiting. 7- locate and maintain contact with building engineer/responsible parties. 8- Monitor building communication systems and coordinate fire fighting messages. 9- Control and operate building fire protection systems as necessary.
4th Arriving Engine Company PDA?
Captain - EXPOSURE FLOOR
1- Obtains building keys and sound power phone from FCC.
Engineer and Firefighters
1- Performs standard high-rise equipment strip. 2- With equipment company ascends building via designated route. 3- Place into operation a hose line on the floor above the fire, and control or prevent lapping or extension of fire. 4- Establish division control and report conditions. 5- Calm occupants and coordinate evacuation with IC as needed.

B- Bundles ( 1 3/4 or 2 1/2) L- Light A- Axe (forcible entry tools w/halligan) C- Cylinders (air, spare) K- Keys (FCC) S- Sound Phone (FCC) T- TIC BAG- standpipe kit.
What does the first firefighter cary in the high-rise PDA?
High-rise bag, 2 spare SCBA Bottles. Makes standpipe connection then joins the crew.
What does the second firefighter cary in the high-rise PDA?
Bundle of 1 3/4 hose and axe and hooligan. Advance to the fire floor, force door and wait for crew.
What does the third firefighter cary in the high-rise PDA?
Bundle of 1 3/4 hose with gated wye and 2.5 pony line. Have FF1 remove straps and advance to the fire floor.
