31
Q

Cold weather, single engine taxi restrictions?

A

If temp below 0°C and engines off for more than 3 hours you must start both engines to check for fuel drip. Once check is ok you can shut one down.

32
Q

Fuel drip limits?

A

If during the start of a cold engine the Ramp Lead reports a fuel leak, run thevengine at idle for at least 5 min to allow the seals to warm up.

If the leak rate decreases to less than 60 drops/minute, the aircraft can be dispatched. If the leak rate continues to exceed 60 drops/minute, shut down the affected engine and then restart.

If the leak continues in excess of 60 drops/minute after 5 more minutes, shut down the affected engine and advise Maintenance.
