Illness Anxiety Disorder. TIme
Preoccupation with fears of having or acquiring a serious illness. 6 months
Care-seeking type vs Case-avoidant type
- Frequent visits to doctors or undergoes tests
- Rarely uses medical care
Conversion Disorder (Functional Neurological Disorder)
Has a physical malfunctioning without physical pathology to account for the malfunction.
Globus Hystericus
Lump on the throat that makes it difficult to swallow
Factitious Disorder
Falls between malingering and conversions disorder wherein the symptoms are under voluntary control but there is no obvious reasons for voluntarily producing the symptoms except to assume the sick role and receive increased attention.
Factitious Disorder Imposed on Another
If an individual deliberately makes someone else sick.
