What is the difference between contraction and contracture?
Contraction- the process of which a muscle becomes or is made shorter and tighter
Contracture- a condition of shortening and hardening of muscles, tendons, or other tissue, often leading to deformity and rigidity of joints.
What is passive ROM?
Doctor does the moving to further extend the patient’s body part
What is active ROM?
The patient does the moving to extend the body part
How does passive and active ROM relate?
Passive>Active
