There were three main types of soldiers in the middle ages:
-Foot soldier
-Archers

Tell me about foot soldiers
First soldiers made of the largest part of any mediaeval army. They followed swords, daggers and spears and had shields and leather padded jackets for protection. They were like peasants.
Tell me about archers
Archers fought with a bow and arrow, or sometimes a long bow or crossbow. They were a little protective clothing.
Tell me about night
Nice were minor nobles who fought on horseback and swore an out of chivalry. They were full body of armour (plate armour), Chainmaile, a shield and a helmet for protection and used lances, swords and Maces in battle.
How to become a night?
There were two ways of becoming a nice. If a foot soldier showed exceptional bravery on the battlefield, he could be united by the Lord. However, this was very rare and the main way was a three stage process followed by the sons of nobles.
First stage of becoming a night
Stage 1: page
At the age of seven, a boy would be sent to live with the family of another Lord, this was known as fostering.
He would learn to ride a horse, use a sword, singing and dance.
He was taught manners, helped the lady of the castle and served the Lord and lady at dinner.
Second stage of becoming a night?
Stage 2: squire
At age 14, the boy began to learn to fight on horseback.
He would accompany the Lord into battle, look after his horse and weapon weapons and help the lower dress for battle and tournaments.
Stage 3 of becoming a knight ?
Stage 3: knight
Age of 2 1, he was illegible to become aKnight.
He spent the night before the ceremony in prayer in the chapel.
He swore out of chivalry (to stay loyal to his Lord, protect the poor and weak and be brave in battle)
The Lord would give a manner to the night to run.
When he was not fighting in real wars and battles, he would often take part in tournaments.
These featured mock battles, where knights fought with wooden weapons, and jousting matches, were two nights on horseback rode straight at each other and each tried to knock his rival off his horse using a lance
