Q

What are different ways solar activity cause communication disruptions?

A
  • solar activity can affect artificial satellites (disrupts cellphone and satellite TV communications)
  • scientists constantly monitor satellites and boost them back into their orbits to prevent them from falling and burning up in the atmosphere
  • radiation is very dangerous during spacewalks or even in spacecrafts
  • no atmosphere to protect astronomers from radiation
