Milky Way

Star
A huge ball of very hot, glowing matter that gives off energy

Inner Planets
The four rocky planets closest to the sun (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars)
Outer Planets
The four large planets farthest from the sun that are made of ice and gases (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune)
Orbit
The circular movement of an object, such as a planet or moon, around an object that can hold it in place with gravity, such as a sun or large planet
Moon
a large, round piece of rock that revolves around a planet
Asteroid
chunks of rock in space
Comet
chunks of rock and ice that orbit the sun
