-Body holds too much H2O which dilutes the sodium in the blood

- Nausea
- Headache
- Confusion
- Fatigue

A
- Limit fluid intake (H20 restriction)
- Medication
- Diuretic

A
-Most common in people who don’t drink enough water

What are the symptoms of hypernatremia?
A
- Thirst
- Headache
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Confusion
- Seizure

What is the treatment of hypernatremia?
A
- Fluid replacement (IV)
- Sodium level in blood decreased. Do slowly to avoid permanent brain damage.
