Q

describe the caste system

A

lHindus believe in reincarnation and in the caste system it is considered that individuals who abide by the rituals of their caste. will be reborn in a higher caste and that (correspondingly) people who fail to abide by the ritas of their caste will be reborn in a lower caste. In this system, one’s status is given at birth and one spends one’s entire life in the same caste. People from different castes do not socialise wis each other, and intermariage is therefore forbidden.
