it began with Thich Nhat Hahn in Vietnam, as he witnessed the Vietnam War and in 1964 established school of youth and social care, for buddhists to go to Vietnam.

  • buddhism is about preventing individual dukkha, when the buddha saw the 4 sights he did not help the sick man, but cured all suffering
