The pyramid of Djoser was first built. They improved it by replacing some materials with stone. Also, the Egyptians removed the steps on the step pyramid and smoothed out the edges.
why was the nile so important to the egyptians
It provided silt which was good for farming. Also, it provided transportation so you could sail the Nile for trade.
