Nonhuman primates show cooperation and other socio-positive behaviours , but their underlying cognitive skills seem to be based on competition.
What makes human intelligence unique?
Ape-human experimental comparisons revealed no differences regarding cognitive skills in the physical world and competition . But differences were found in cooperation : humans have more advanced social-cognitive skills , specifically shared intentionality
What is shared intentionality ?
A set of socio-cognitive and socio-motivational skills that lead to collaborative interactions where individuals share psychological states with one another
