Why do we perform a warm up
Prepare the muscles , prevent injury , prepare the cardiovascular system , prepare the joints , prepare the mind , prepare the ligaments ,
Phases of a warm up
Cardiovascular , stretching , sports specific
Cardiovascualr phase
The aim is to gradually increase the heart rate into the working heart rate
Whats sports does the cardiovascular phase usually use
It can take various different sports but mainly running
How long does it take does the cardiovascular phase usually take
It usually takes around 10 to 15 minutes depending on the person and activity
What are the two streching phases
Static - easy on the sport stretching without straining
Dynamic - stretches that use movements specific to a sport gradually increasing your reach and speed
Practice the skills of activity
Throwing , catching and batting for cricket
What is a cool down
Gradually reduce your heart rate to resting so it preventsthe latic acid
How long does the cool down take
The cool down takes 10 to 15 to return to resting depending on activity
What does smart goal stand for
Specific , measureable , achieveable, realistic, time bound

They are altimatly set to motivate an athlete into full succsess
