Q

How do SNRI’s work?

A
  • SNRI’s work by increasing serotonin and norepinephrine levels in the brain
  • after carrying a message, serotonin and norepinephrine is usually reabsorbed by the nerve cells (reuptake).
  • SNRI’s work by blocking (inhibiting) the reuptake, meaning more serotonin and norepinephrine is available to pass further messages between nearby nerve cells.
