A
A physical data transfer device that can move data from on-premises to AWS or from AWS to on-premises. The economical range for Snowball is 10TB - 10PB of data. You can order multiple devices for use at multiple locations.

What is Snowball Edge?
A
A physical data transfer device that provides storage and compute capabilities. It is ideal for remote sites or where data processing on ingestion is needed.

What is Snowmobile?
A
A portable data center within a shipping container on a truck. It should be used when you need to move 10PB - 100PB of data. It is not economical for multi-site (it’s one truck) or for less than 10PB of data.
