What is AWS DataSync?
A data transfer service to move huge volumes of data TO and FROM AWS. Use it for migrations, data processing transfers, archival, cost effective storage, disaster recovery, and business continuity. It preserves file metadata and has built-in data validation.
What must be installed on-premises to use DataSync?
The DataSync Agent.
What protocols does the DataSync Agent use to communicate with on-premises SAN/NAS storage?
NFS or SMB.
Where can DataSync store data in AWS?
S3, EFS, or FSx.
How would you address DataSync saturating your network link with data transfers?
By setting a bandwidth limit or scheduling transfers during off-hours.
