Q
what action do M3 receptors have?
A
produce rhoA –> rho kinase (inhibits myosin phosphatase)
open L-type Ca channels
1
Q
what do M2 receptors inhibit and what does this lead to?
A
cAMP (produces PKA which phosphorylates & INACTIVATES MyLCK) –> increased contraction.
2
Q
what are the three types of NOS?
A
eNOS - platelets, endothelium, cardiac myocytes
iNOS - macrophages, cardiac myocytes (inflammation)
nNOS - central & peripheral neurones.
3
Q
what is significant about eNOS?
A
there is no selective block for it.
