➊ Femoral head is displaced along the growth plate
➋ Male, 11-15 yrs, Obese, Afro-Caribbean
➌ Chondrolysis, Avascular necrosis

How does it present
A
• Typically presents during a growth spurt
• Most have referred knee pain
• Limp, worsened with activity
• Restricted ROM

• Bloods – CRP to exclude inflammatory causes of joint pain
➋ Surgery
