inability to sleep; habitual sleeplessness
insomnia
a condition characterized by an extreme tendency to fall asleep whenever in relaxing surroundings.
narcolepsy
A potentially serious sleep disorder in which breathing repeatedly stops and starts.
sleep apnea
The act of getting up and walking around while asleep.
somnambulism (sleep walking)
episodes of screaming, intense fear and flailing while still asleep
