Body Temperature decreases; heart rate reduces
Burst of rapid rhythmic sleep spindles
Sleep talking
Stage 3
Transition between light and deep sleep
Very Slow Delta Waves
Bed wetting, night terrors, sleepwalking, gibberish sleep talking
Stage 4
Deep Sleep
Even more slow
Delta Waves
Bedwetting, night terrors, sleepwalking, gibberish sleep talking
Stage 5
REM Sleep (Paradoxical)
Active brain activity & deeply relaxed muscles
Dreaming, visual imagery, nightmares
