This rock wood classification is a rupture of both ac and CC ligaments and will have twice the distance from the clavicle to the coracoid
Type 3
This rockwood class has rupture or AC ligaments with posterior displacement of the clavicle into trap
Type 4
This rockwood class has significant elevation of the clavicle with more than 2x the distance from coracoid to clavicle
Type 5
This rockwood class has inferior displacement of the clavicle I to the subacromial space with neural injury
Type 6
These rockwood classes require surgery
