Open down into the epidermis, dermis and into fatty tissue

Deep wounds that may include muscle, tendon, ligaments, bone

Venous stasis ulcer
A
Develope in skin of lower leg, especially ankle, as result of poor venous circulation.
Damaged valve inside leg veins prevent blood from returning to heart. As a result, it collects in lower legs. Causing swelling and then turns into ulcers

Neuropathic skin ulcers
A
Common complication of uncontrolled diabetes mellitus.
