basal cell carcinoma**
A
- the most common skin cancer
- cells rapidly dividing

actinic keratosis**
A
- most common precancer**
- Skin cells proliferating rapidly –> mild hyperkeratotic (not as much as psoriasis)
- develop into squamous cell carcinoma if left untreated**
- treat: cream and freezing

basal cell carcinoma**
A
- where?: nose (common), sun exposed areas
- usually do NOT spread to other tissue**

squamous cell carcinoma**
A
- top layer of epidermal cells –> usually more keratotic
- in situ SCC that hasn’t spread into dermis –> Bone’s disease**
- HPV can be predisposing factor
- can spread to other tissues and kill you, unlike BCC**
- Margillans tumor (type of aggressive squamous cell carcinoma)

-Mohs surgery** (highest cure rate of all treatment); wound repaired after removal Mohs Surgery- 95-99% Surgical Excision - 90% Curettage - 85-90% Radiation - 85% Creams - 50-85%
