Scarlet fever’s most notable symptom?

A

Strawberry tongue
First the tongue has a white coating with red spots which goes away after 4 days ish leaving the tongue bright red with red spots

Face also may look red with paleness around the mouth

Rashes in tummy small red pinprick with a rough texture which goes white if you press which will peel up to 6wks

A

Self limited in few days but can use calamine or hydrocortisone to relieve itching and irritation

A

Self limiting over a period of months to years
But lesions can be removed by scraping or freezing
Topical meds used to remove warts can be used so Topical salucylic acid bazuka but not licensed so not OTC
