What grading do we use for cellulitis? What is the treatment depending on grade?

A

Eron classification
1 - no systemic features
2- unwell or well with co-morbidities which could delay resolution of infection
3 - significant systemic upset/ limb threatening infection
4 - sepsis syndrome or severe life threatening infection eg nec fasciitis

Rx 
1 - oral abx 
2 - IV abx (may not need admission)
3- IV abx 
4- IV abx 

Abx - flucloxacillin (clindamycin or clarithromycin for pen allergic)
Severe - IV Ben pen and flucloxacillin

Infected needs 10days oral flucloxacillin
