(2) Use a clean portion of the washcloth for each stroke
(3) While holding catheter at the meatus, rinse at least 4 inches away from the meatus down the drainage tube (rinse w/ strokes only away from meatus)
(4) Rinse using a clean portion of the washcloth for each stroke
(5) Do not allow the tube to be tugged/pulled at any time during the procedure
(6) Scrub/wash hands together for at least twenty seconds with soap
(7) Do not recontaminate hands at any time during the hand washing procedure

Critical step for donning PPE (gown and gloves), emptying a urinary drainage bag, measure and record urine output and remove PPE with hand washing
(1) Candidate’s recorded measurement is within 25 mL’s of the RN test observer’s measurement
(2) Remove gloves before removing gown with one gloved hand grasping the other glove at the palm to remove
(3) Slip fingers from ungloved hand underneath cuff of remaining glove at the wrist and remove glove turning inside out as it is removed
(4) Scrub/wash hands together for at least twenty seconds with soap
(5) Do not re-contaminate hands at any time during the hand washing procedure
Supplies for donning PPE (gown and gloves), emptying a urinary drainage bag, measure and record urine output and remove PPE with hand washing
Gown, gloves, graduate, alcohol wipe
Critical step for dressing a resident with an affected (weak) side
(1) When dressing the resident in a button-up shirt, always dress from the affected (weak) side first
(2) When dressing the resident in pants, always dress the affected (weak) side leg first
