A

A fine skill involves intricate movements using small muscles groups such as a snooker shot.
A gross skill involves large muscle groups and require more power to produce the movement such as a high jump.

A

Continuous Skill- Do not have a clear beginning or end such as cycling
Serial Skill-contain several discrete elements which are put together into a pattern such as a gymnastics routine
Discrete Skill- Have a clear beginning and end such as a penalty

What is the difference between high and low organisation?

A

High organisation is where the skill is difficult to stop and practice certain elements
Low organisation is when the different parts of the skill can be separated and practices separately

What is fixed and varied practice?

A

Fixed practice is done in a predictable environment. This allows the performer to focus entirely on the skill
Varied practice is done in an unpredictable environment. This helps the performer improve decision making and gain more experience by practising in different enviroments.
