Found in wrist, movements are forward, backward and side to side

A
AKA plane joint, allow the bones to glide in any direction.
Eg between the carpals (wrist) and tarsals (feet)

A
Enables rotational movement (turning your head).
Eg joints are at the atlas and axis of the neck.

Saddle Joint
A
The surfaces of the bone are concave and convex.
One bone rest on the other (like a rider on a horse).
Allows movements backwards, forwards, side to side.
Found at the base of the thumb
(gripping a ball or racket).
