ankylosing spondylitis
a type of arthritis that causes inflammation in certain parts of the spine.
arthritis
painful inflammation and stiffness of the joints
bunion
a painful swelling on the first joint of the big toe.
carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS)
a numbness and tingling in the hand and arm caused by a pinched nerve in the wrist.
dislocation
an injury where a joint is forced out of normal position.
fracture
a complete or partial break in a bone.
ganglion
a structure containing a number of nerve cell bodies, typically linked by synapses, and often forming a swelling on a nerve fiber.
gouty arthritis (gout)
a form of arthritis that causes severe pain, swelling, redness and tenderness in joints.
herniation of an intervertebral disk (disc)
occurs when all or part of a disc is forced through a weakened part of the spine.
kyphosis
a forward rounding of the back.
lordosis
a curving inward of the lower back.
Lyme disease (Lyme arthritis)
occurs when Lyme disease bacteria enter joint tissue and cause inflammation.
osteoarthritis (OA)
Osteoarthritis is a degenerative disease that worsens over time
osteogenic sarcoma (osteosarcoma)
A type of bone cancer that begins in the cells that form bones.
osteomalacia
softening of the bones, typically through a deficiency of vitamin D or calcium.
