What do tendons, ligaments and cartilage do?
tendons attach muscle to bone
ligaments attach bone to bone
cartilage protects the bone, absorbs shock

Long tubular - femur
short - phalanges
flat - skull/pelvis
irregular -spine
what do appendicular bones do?
provide movement - legs, arms, hips, shoulders
what do axial bones do?
protects vital organs - skull, spine, ribs, sternum
