A large openening that gives way to a canal
Meatus
An often rounded hole which pierces a bone
Foramen
Shaft of the long bone
Diaphysis
Located at the end of a shaft of a long bone
Epiphysis
Joins the diaphysis to the epiphysis in a growing bone
