- Tendons pull on the bones to move them

Muscles work in pairs as they can only pull
What happens when you pull your arm up? (2)
- Bicep shortens/contracts
- Tricep relaxes/lengthens
What happens when your arm goes down? (2)
- Tricep shortens/contracts
- Bicep relaxes/lengthens
What is an example of an antagonistic muscle pair?
The quadriceps and hamstrings.
What does the quadricep do when the hamstring contracts?
It will relax and lengthen
What two things do your bones do?
- Produce red and white blood cells
- Stores fat
What 3 things does your bone provide for you?
Protection, support, movement
What is an example of you bone protection?
Your skull protects your brain
What is an example of support from your bones?
Skeleton provides frame for the body
What is an example of movement from your bones?
Muscles are attachted via tendons as bones are rigid and solid
