Q

UNDERSTAND THESE THINGS ABOUT SIX STAGE PATTERNS

A

> > > > >

25
Q

TAI YANG CHANNEL PATTERNS:

A

SWEATING IS A DIFFERENTIATING FACTOR FROM TAI YANG COLD

26
Q

TAI YANG COLD IS AN EXCESS CONDITION

A

PORES DO CLOSE & DUE TO CONSTRICTION OF WEI QI IN THE CH, NO SWEATING

27
Q

BOTH TAI YANG WIND ATTACK & TAI YANG COLD HAVE FLOATING PULSE, BUT!

A

TAI YANG COLD- also has a tight pulse due to predominance of COLD

28
Q

TAI YANG FU ORGAN PATTERNS ARE A DIRECT RESULT OF NOT RESOLVING THE TAI YANG CHANNEL PATTERNS

A

THEY ARE TAI YANG WATER-RETENTION & TAI YANG BLOOD-RETENTION

29
Q

TAI YANG WATER RETENTION

A

Mainly BL dysfunction & building up of water in body’s system due to not urinating properly, even though some incontinence due to an absolute overflow of qi dysfunciton of BL. This over flow makes patient vomit water back up due to OVERFLOW OF WATER IN FU organs of body in general.

30
Q

TAI YANG BLOOD RETENTION

A

Mainly HEAT & BLOOD STAG occurring due to build up of HEAT due to COLD CONSTRICTION (Tai Yang Cold) in lower jiao & blood breaking through vessels & being eliminated via LI. Due to H in blood level, HT/Shen mind also affected. blood contains emotions

Here you have hard abdomen & chaotic mind (NOT MENTAL DISEASE)

31
Q

Yang Ming Pattern (GENERAL)

A

Common pattern following TAI YANG pattern especially. TY COLD.

  • CHANNEL PATTERN IS MORE EXTREME HEAT PRESENTATION THAN “GENERAL” YANG MING PATTERN!
    but: does NOT have constipation

FU ORGAN PATTERN HAS MORE INTERIOR PRESENTATION W/ TIDAL HEAT & DOES have CONSTIPATION

32
Q

RECAP:
YANGMING GENERAL:
YANG MING FU:
YANG MING CH:

A

Yang Ming pattern less extreme- progression

YANG MING CH: MORE EXTREME H, NO constipation

YANG MING CH: INTERIOR PRESENTATION W/ TIDAL H & CONSTIPATION

33
Q

NOTE ABOUT YANG MING:

A

EVEN THOUGH HEAT IS GOING INTERIOR, IT IS NOT CONSIDERED AN INTERIOR PATTERN, BUT STILL AN EXTERIOR EXCESS HEAT PATTERN

34
Q

SHAO YANG
HALF INTERIOR/HALF EXTERIOR

THREE MAJOR SIGNS:

A
  • ALTERNATING FEVER & CHILLS*

* FULLNESS IN CHEST & ABDOMEN* & CONSTANT BITTER TASTE IN MOUTH
