Sin
Acting against the will or laws of God

Difference between sin and crime?
Crime based on what is morally wrong and sin is based what is wrong according to religious beliefs

Protect weak, give guidance on acceptable and allow people to live their life safely and without fear

Palm Sunday
“Hosanna! Blessed is whom comes in the name of the Lord” = moment Jesus prepares himself to sacrifice himself
Jesus goes to the temple
“He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves” =Important to show respect to god + within the place of worship + His house
Last Supper (Maundy Thursday)
“Truly, i tell you one of you will betray me” =Ate with disciples before he is arrested + remembered in mass
Garden of Gethsamne
“My father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me” = By asking God to pass cup from him, shows Jesus is truly human + felt scared as he knew he had to die tto save mankind
Jesus is arrested
“Judas, are you betraying the son of god with a kiss”= Jesus was calm at time of arrest and shows he is not violent as he knew what was to happen + emphasises his love for humans, bigger than his suffering
Crucifixion
“When they came to the place called Skull, they crucified him there” = Jesus was being put to death. He expresses his true purpose for forgiveness to be granted to those who do wrong
Jesus forgave humans and romans
“Forgive them Father, they did not know what they have done” = influences Christians today to forgive people + don’t hold grudges against someone and persuades/encourages others to be a bigger person
Burial
“Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen cloth and placed it in a tomb” = Jesus’ followers wanted to ensure that the Son of God was shown full respect + buried before Sabbath day
Resurrection
“When they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord of Jesus” = Through resurrection of dead Jesus, his proved to be Son of God as only God can conquer death and its shows there is an afterlife.
Reconciliation
Sacrament of asking for forgiveness
Importance of Reconciliation for Christians
Helps Christians say sorry for skins. + reminds them to forgive others like God is doing with them and Jesus did at the crucifixion
How Christians celebrate Last Supper?
Eucharist in Mass - remembering Jesus’ sacrifice + sacrament gives eternal life + reminds us to serve pother like Jesus does (washing feat of disciples = Pope doers to neglected people)
How Christians celebrate Good Friday?
No mass is celebrated + altars are bare
Church bells are silent

Fulfilment of God’s promises + God sent his only son to die for our sins
