key details

A

encounter with the blind man: jesus encounters a man who has been blind from birth. disciples suggest that his blindness is due to sin and suffering but jesus says that gods work is just yet to be revealed to him yet. jesus declares that he is the light of the world and heals the man by applying mud made form saliva into his eyes and instructing him to wash them in the pool of siloam
reaction of the pharisees: blind man washes eyes and gets sight back.
when the pharisees hear of this they question jesus as the healing occurred on the sabbath. therefore some doubt the mans healing
interrogaition and testimony: some discredit the man further as they want to discredit jesus, but the healed man defends him saying that jesus’ healing comes from Gods power
pharisees excommunicate him from the synagogue
