Chvostek’s sign
A positive Chvostek’s sign occurs when you achieve a graded twitching that begins at the angle of the mouth and migrates to the nose, eye, and ultimately involves the facial muscles.
tapping the facial nerve approximately 2 cm anterior to the tragus of the ear.
McBurney’s sign
McBurney’s sign is used to assist in the diagnosis of appendicitis when pain is felt with palpation of a point 1/3 of the way between the right ASIS and the umbilicus.
Kussmaul’s sign
Kussmaul’s sign is a paradoxical rise in jugular venous pressure during inspiration, and is usually indicative of limited right ventricular filling due to right heart failure.
Homan’s sign
Homan’s sign is an indicator of DVT and is positive when there is posterior calf pain that occurs with passive dorsiflexion of the foot.
Trousseau sign
Trousseau sign is positive when carpal spasm occurs following inflation of a blood pressure cuff above the systolic pressure.
