Water restriction
Reverse underlying dz
Demeclocycline (induces DI)

polydypsia
polyuria
nL glucose
no glucose in urine

DI Dx
A
Water deprivation:
Uosm starts low.
Deprive water and Uosm goes up= Psychogenic polydypsia
Deprive water and Usosm does not go up DI. Give ADH then Central
Doesn’t get better with ADH then Nephro DI

DI TX:
A
Psych: Stop Drinking
Central: DDAVP (vasopressin)
Nephro: gentle diuresis with HCTZ +/- Amiloride.
