The Code of Hammurabi, dating back to around 3000

In the Philippines, the Manunggul Jar was believed to be
the vessel of transporting the dead into the afterlife.
The artifact always contained in its lid a boat (balangay),
a boat driver, and the soul-three symbolic figures of the
journey into nature and death. With this culture, it was
found out that early Filipinos had a complex kind of
culture even before the arrival of Spaniards.
