Q
A

Porcelini T.

Ex: stabilize scapula and do isometric resistance

Pos: The test is considered positive if pain (with or without weakness) noted during the first phase is reduced or eliminated during the second phase. If pain persists in both phases, it may suggest acromioclavicular (AC) joint pathology.

Q

AC Joint Pain Cluster

A
  1. Repetitive mechanism of pain onset
  2. Absence of referred pain below the elbow
  3. Thickened or swolleb AC Joint
  4. Absence of typical pain provocation during passive GH abduction
  5. -//- external rotation in 90 abduction

Pos : 3 pos = more likely
4 pos = very likely
Number 2 pos? = rule out AC

Q
A

Coracoid Palpation Test

Ex: 1. Palpate AC Joint
2. Palpate subacromial space
3. Coracoid process

–> for each on record VAS

Pos : Significant pain on palpation of the coracoid process, much higher than pain over the AC joint or subacromial area.

Usually rated as 7/10 or more (vs <3/10 in other sites).

Especially suggestive in the early phase of frozen shoulder (high irritability, capsular inflammation).
