Supraspinatus bursitis

A

Caused by repetitive overhead movement/ shoulder abduction in the context of an increased load on this area. Treatment- release supraspinatus and activate rhomboids. This will release the impingement on the bursa.

Shoulder impingement

A

Compression of soft tissues between the head of the humerus and the underside of the acromion. Can be caused by a rotator cuff tear, burstitis, anything else like this. In the acute phase RICE and lymphatic drainage of affected muscle (supraspinatus). In chronic stage, frictioning of deltoid and release of pectoralis major.

Biceps brachii tendinosis

A

Inflammation of the tendon around the long head of the biceps brachii muscle. I would release the biceps brachii and activate the triceps. CRAC would be a good techinque to help release the biceps.

TOS

A

Pain in and around the neck, weakness, tingling in the arm. Impingement on the brachial plexus. Scalenes and pectoralis minor may need to be released and rhomboids activated.
