Shoulder Girdle Flashcards
Rhomboids-major &minor
Origin- spinous processes of 7th cervical and thoracic 1-5
Insertion- medial border of scapula from the base of the spine to the inferior angle
Actions- adduction of scapula, downward rotation, elevation
3 joints of shoulder girdle
- Sterno-clavicular (sc)
- Acromio-clavicular (ac)
- Scapulo-thoracic (st)
Levator scapulae
Origin- transverse processes of c1-c4
Insertion- medial border of scapula from the base of the spine to the superior angle
Action- elevation, downward rotation
Trapezius upper
Origin- external occipital protuberance
