Q

Distal attachment Serratus Anterior

A

Costal surface of medial border of the scapula, between the superior and inferior angles.
The upper digitation passes to the superior angle, the lower four converge to attach to the inferior angle and the attachment of the intervening fibres (2nd, 3rd, 4th digitations) is spread along the border between these two points

Q

Proximal attachment Serratus Anterior

A

Fleshy digitations just anterior to mid-axillary line, attaching to the outer surfaces of the upper eight or nine ribs and intervening intercostal fascia
The first digitation attaches to ribs one and two; the remaining digitations arise from a single rib with the lower four slips interdigitating with the costal attachment of External Abdominal Oblique
