Types of AC Sprains
Type 1- AC lig sprain
Type 2- AC rupture
Type 3- AC & CC Rupture
Type 4- Full separation + post displacement of clavicle into trapezius fibers
Type 5- AC & CC lig rupture + detachment of trap and deltoid from distal 1/3 clavicle
Type 6- Distal end of clavicle is dislocated under coracoid process behind coracobrachialis and SH of biceps tendon
Hill-Sachs lesion
Divet of humerus that occurs when bankhart lesion has been around for awhile.
Types of SLAP Lesions
Type 1- Fraying of the superior labrum, with firm attachment of labrum to glenoid. Degenerative
Type 2- Detachment of superior labrum and origin of tendon of the long head of biceps from glenoid.
Type 3- Bucket-handle tear of labrum with biceps still intact
Type 4- Bucket-handle tear of labrum that extends into bicep tendon
Impingement Syndrome
Type 1- < 25, Edema and hemorrhage
- biomechanical corrections
Type 2- Fibrotic stage
- Age 25-40
Type 3- Tendon degeneration
- > 40
Stages of Adhesive Capsulitis
Painful or Freezing- first 3-4 months, painful, minimal loss of motion
Frozen Stage- Months 6-9, “Stuck”
- Motion is a lot worse, not as painful
Recovery or Thawing- Months 9-12
