- church agrees what would be put in NT

quotes
A
- “but if anyone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other side” matthew 5:38-39, moral command teaches christians how to behave (violence is wrong)
- “you seek jesus who was crucified” matthew 28:5-7, central doctrine of christian belief (learn jesus died on cross to save human from sin)

Q
bible & its content
A
- main problem with having different kinds of literature in the bible is that it’s one thing to say that the accounts of jesus’ resurrection are given by god but another to say was all written by god
- everything that deals with matters of belief inspired by god
- proverbs, erotic poems, myths not inspired by god
- problem with rest of the body of material in bible is some stories make god seem like he isn’t a loving authority figure (sending flood to kill all human/animal life)
