• Jesus’ sermon on Mount shows good conduct glorifies God -> “your good works give glory to your father who is in heaven” matthew 5:16

• some moral commands in bible now seen as immoral (Paul’s letter to Titus condoning slavery)
• some insist that good conduct isn’t matter of following rules for sake of reward/punishment but matter of doing right for right’s sake
• most christians accept atonement but there’s disagreement on what is needed to accept this and how to accept kingdom of god
